What we do to the heads:
R&R Cycles, Inc. Stage II Headwork:
Our Stage II headwork is a complex blend of CNC porting and hand blending. Valve seats are blended with ports and combustion chambers, then topped off with a high flowing full radius valve job. Valve to valve clearance is set for your cam. Combustion chamber volumes are measured and the heads are decked for your desired compression. Heads are cleaned, valve seals installed and springs packed for your cam and heads assembled. This head package greatly improves engine efficiency, breathing, and delivers excellent results.
R&R Cycles, Inc. Stage IV Headwork:
Our Stage IV headwork is extremely extensive, and consists of welding and reshaping the ports, CNC porting, hand blending the valve seats to the ports and combustion chambers, oversize valves and a full radius valve job. Valve to valve clearance and spring is set for your cam, then combustion chamber volumes are measured and the heads are decked for your desired compression. Heads are cleaned, valve seals installed and heads are assembled. This head package will start you out in front and keep you in front. Revving extremely fast and carrying out all the way through the RPM range. “Unbelievable.”
The Story Behind R&R Cycles, Inc. Stage V Cast Heads:
R&R Twin Cam® cast cylinder heads were developed using the same combustion chamber and ports as our world famous billet heads. These Twin Cam® heads feature thick, deep fins for better cooling, wrinkle black or silver powder coat, machined finished fins for an extremely nice appearance, and half inch breather bolt holes for better crankcase venting. These heads are an awesome choice for Twin Cam® motors from 95” to 124”, and come completely assembled and machined for compression releases.
